The Details

Jessie Cooper is an EMT-IV with a wonderful family and great friends and co-workers.

On September 26, Jessie was in a car accident on Mt. Carmel Rd. Her car jumped a ditch, hit a fence and then flipped. The roof was crushed and pinned her head down, breaking her neck. At that time, she was aware that she was paralyzed from the chest down and was able to assist the emergency personnel who arrived on the scene with diagnosing her injuries. She was airlifted to The Med, where she was taken to the Trauma Ward.

She spent the first few days in the Trauma ICU and then had surgery to reset her broken neck and to verify that there was no serious damage to her spinal cord. After that, she was sent upstairs to the Trauma Step-Down Ward, where she remains right now. As soon as she is cleared to, she will be transported down to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center to begin rehabilitation so that she can learn how to take care of herself and to walk again.

Jessie, we love you very much. We are praying for you. We know that God can heal you and we are trusting Him. His hand is not short and He is able to reach you right wear you are. There is nothing to hard for Him. What an awsome testimony you will have to share with young adults about God and His healing power. God Bless.

Jessie.....I work with your cousin Bonnie. She keeps all of us at FMC Kennett up-to-date on your condition. I don't know you personally, but from hearing about you I know you are a very strong person & that you must have a very deep faith in God. You are setting an example for all of us and you will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. God bless and keep you and your family during these trying times and the ones ahead. And remember, if you ever feel that you're at the end of your rope....tie a knot & hang on!! YOU GO GIRL.
